Steven Ogburn, known as BLADE, is widely recognized as the 'King of Graffiti', having painted an astonishing estimated 5,000 New York subway cars between 1972 and 1984. As leader of the Crazy 5 (TC5), Blade invented hundreds of original letter types and wholecar concepts that inspired generations of worldwide writers.
